A woman in critical condition after giving birth has been airlifted from Dolpa by a Nepal Army helicopter.
Twenty-six-year-old Junu Budha of Kagkot in Chharka Tangsong Rural Municipality was airlifted to Karnali Province Hospital in Surkhet for further treatment.
She was taken to Dolpa District Hospital on Monday after experiencing labour pain. However, her condition became complicated during treatment, making it necessary to refer her to Surkhet for further care, according to the District Administration Office, Dolpa.
Budha, who had been in critical condition since Monday, was airlifted to Surkhet on Tuesday by a Nepal Army helicopter.
