Home Minister Sudan Gurung to visit India for BIMSTEC meeting

Home Minister Sudan Gurung is set to visit India to attend a meeting of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC).

According to sources at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Gurung is scheduled to leave for India on October 12.

Home ministers from seven BIMSTEC member states will participate in the meeting. The participating countries are Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Thailand. The meeting is expected to bring together the home ministers of the BIMSTEC member states to discuss matters of mutual interest and cooperation.
