A new hotel funded by Nepali investors has opened in Mebane, North Carolina, in the United States.
The La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham and Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham have opened at 290 Lobs Boulevard, Mebane, within the same complex. Both hotels share the same address but operate in separate buildings, La Quinta in Building A and Hawthorn in Building B.
According to Mebane’s municipal planning documents, one of the project’s hotel buildings was approved as a four-story, 103-room property. The plan lists 80 rooms for the other hotel building.
The hotel was inaugurated at a formal ceremony held on September 24, 2026. Representing the partners, Sumit Sanjel, Sudhir Marhattha and Radhesh Pandit cut the ribbon.
According to Radhesh Pandit, one of the hotel’s partners, the process from purchasing the land to planning, permitting, construction and inauguration took a long time. This is the eighth hotel owned and operated by this investor group.
Another investor, Sumit Sanjel, said he was glad to formally inaugurate the hotel after a long journey.
According to him, the hotel management team is doing good work, and guests have also given encouraging feedback.
