The Kathmandu District Court has granted police permission to keep businessman Durga Prasai in custody for three days while investigating a cybercrime case.
The Nepal Police Cyber Bureau said the court granted the three-day remand for investigation into an alleged cybercrime offence.
Dilip Kumar Giri, spokesperson and superintendent of police at the Cyber Bureau, confirmed that the court had authorised police to keep Prasai in custody for three days.
The Cyber Bureau arrested Durga Prasai from his residence in Bhaktapur on Monday.
Police have not disclosed further details about the specific cybercrime allegations under investigation.
