Kathmandu, September 22
Regular share trading at the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) will resume today after a technical problem at Data Hub Pvt Ltd, the data centre hosting the servers of 72 NEPSE trading member companies, was resolved.
According to NEPSE, the technical issue at Data Hub has been fixed, allowing regular trading to resume.
The problem was first reported on the morning of September 20, prompting NEPSE to suspend regular trading the following day, Monday.
The Stock Brokers Association of Nepal had requested the suspension, citing concerns that continuing trading while the data centre problem remained unresolved could potentially affect NEPSE’s trading system.
Based on the request, NEPSE suspended trading on Asoj 5 under Rule 21(1) of the Securities Listing and Trading Regulations, 2018.
After trading was halted for one day and Data Hub confirmed that the technical problem had been resolved, NEPSE announced that regular trading would resume from today.
