The ‘Sadak Sujhav’ app has been officially launched to make the repair of damaged federal roads in Kathmandu Valley more effective.
The Road Division Kathmandu under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development formally launched the app following a successful trial. Citizens in Kathmandu Valley can now register complaints and provide suggestions through the app regarding the repair of damaged roads under the federal road network.
The app also allows citizens to track the status and progress of their registered complaints. The Road Division Kathmandu said users will also receive information through the app once their complaints have been addressed.
Currently, citizens can register complaints and suggestions regarding around 472 kilometres of federal roads in Kathmandu Valley through the ‘Road Suggestion App’. For roads that do not fall under the federal road network, the app will also provide information on which agency is responsible for those roads, according to the Road Division Kathmandu.
Preparations are also underway to expand the app nationwide to make the management of road maintenance complaints more effective. The Road Division Kathmandu plans to include Lalitpur and Bhaktapur in the app within the next two weeks and gradually expand the service across the country.
