Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava held a farewell meeting with Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal on Wednesday.
The meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singha Durbar.
During the meeting, Khanal congratulated Srivastava on the successful completion of his tenure and praised his contribution to deepening and broadening Nepal-India relations.
Khanal highlighted progress in energy cooperation, trade, infrastructure and connectivity between Nepal and India, as well as the close people-to-people ties between the two countries.
He also expressed gratitude to the Indian government for its solidarity with Nepal and its prompt support in search, rescue and relief efforts following the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River.
Khanal wished Srivastava success in his future assignments and expressed confidence that he would continue to remain a good friend of Nepal.
During the meeting, Srivastava expressed his appreciation for the support and cooperation extended by the Government of Nepal throughout his tenure.
He expressed confidence that relations between Nepal and India would become deeper and more prosperous in the coming days.
