Gold price rises by 2,500 rupees per tola

Kathmandu, September 4

The price of gold rose by 2,500 rupees per tola on Friday.

The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers has fixed the price for the day at 307,400 rupees per tola. The previous day’s trading rate was 304,900 rupees.

Over the course of a week, however, gold prices have actually fallen by 11,100 rupees; last Friday’s rate stood at 318,500 rupees per tola.

Similarly, the silver price rose by 40 rupees per tola today to reach 4,765 rupees, up from the previous day’s 4,725 rupees. Last Friday, silver had been priced at 4,965 rupees per tola.
