Nepal continued their impressive start to the ACC Premier Cup by defeating hosts Malaysia by six wickets on Thursday, chasing down a target of 104 runs in 21.4 overs for the loss of four wickets.
Arjun Kumal remained unbeaten on 45, while Ishan Pandey scored 20 and Dipendra Singh Airee finished unbeaten on 12.
Earlier, Malaysia, after winning the toss and opting to bat first, were bowled out for 103 in 32.3 overs.
Captain Syed Aziz top-scored for Malaysia with 30 runs, while Akil Waheed made 24. Virandeep Singh scored 14 and Muhammad Syahadat Ramli added 13. None of the other Malaysian batters managed to reach double figures.
For Nepal, Karan KC was the standout bowler, taking four wickets for 23 runs in 7.3 overs. Lalit Rajbanshi claimed two wickets, while Hemant Dhami, Sandeep Lamichhane and Dipendra Singh Airee took one each.
Nepal had earlier defeated Bahrain in their opening match of the tournament.
Nepal will next face Hong Kong on Sunday.
