The bodies of 133 people who died in the Bhotekoshi flood have been recovered from different areas of Rasuwa.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ashok Thapa, 104 bodies were recovered from the Timure area, 18 from Syafrubesi and Ronga, and 11 from the Betrabati area.
Thapa said efforts are underway to airlift all the bodies to Bidur in Nuwakot by helicopter as they have started decomposing.
Meanwhile, rescue efforts have been hampered at the 111-MW Rasuwa Gadhi Hydropower Project, where people remain trapped.
According to Brigadier General Prajjwal Rana, commander of the Nepal Army’s No. 6 Brigade, it is currently not possible to open the tunnel because it is filled with mud.
The Nepal Army said rescue efforts are continuing for people trapped at the 20-MW Chilime Hydropower Project in Syafrubesi.
