Kathmandu, August 29
The bodies of 616 people reported missing after the devastating flood in Rasuwa’s Bhotekoshi River on August 26 have been recovered, Nepal Police said.
As of 7 am Saturday, 616 bodies had been recovered from various locations, according to police.
Of the recovered bodies, 13 were found in Rasuwa, 41 in Nuwakot, 45 in Dhading, 233 in Chitwan, 48 in Gorkha, 31 in Tanahun, 158 in Nawalparasi East and 47 in Nawalparasi West.
Police said 2,301 people have so far been rescued from different locations affected by the flood.
Of those rescued, 676 were from Rasuwa, 1,622 from Nuwakot and three from Dhading.
