Sankhuwasabha, August 20
The District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha, has arrested 11 absconding defendants in one month. The office said it made the arrests within the first month of the current fiscal year.
Police Inspector Meghraj Aryal of the District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha, said the arrests came as part of intensified efforts to track down and arrest fugitives wanted in criminal cases.
According to police, those arrested had been sentenced to a combined 22 years, two months and 23 days in prison. The District Police Office also said it recovered Rs 2,09,19,949 in fines from them.
