Kathmandu, August 20
One person died, and two others were injured when a tractor and an auto-rickshaw collided in Besahi of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-7, Dang.
The accident occurred at around 8 pm on Wednesday when tractor No. Ra 1 Ta 3709, travelling from Saudiyar towards Sarrat, collided with auto-rickshaw No. Lu Pra 02-001 Ha 1929, which was heading from Ghorahi towards Basantapur.
According to police, all three people travelling in the auto-rickshaw were injured in the accident. Auto-rickshaw driver 45-year-old Binod Paudel of Basantapur, Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-5, died while undergoing treatment at Medical College Kohalpur in Banke this morning.
The condition of the two other injured people is reported to be moderate.
Police have taken tractor driver 23-year-old Himal Chaudhary of Bhaisaahi, Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-17, into custody for further investigation.
