Kathmandu, July 30
Incidents of arson and vandalism have escalated in Siraha as protests intensified on Thursday morning, leaving the district in a tense situation.
The local administration has imposed curfew orders in several parts of the district in an effort to contain the unrest.
Amid the violence, AB Mall, operated by Siraha Supermarket in Golbazar, was set on fire.
Police are continuing efforts to bring the situation under control.
