A woman has succumbed to injuries after being attacked by an elephant in Mechinagar in the district. Police Inspector Bijay Chauhan from the District Police Office reported that 62-year-old Padma Paudel, a resident of Mechinagar Municipality-4, was the victim of this incident.
The attack occurred as she was leaving her home this morning. She was trampled by the elephant and died at the scene. Paudel’s remains have been transported to Mechi Provincial Hospital for an autopsy
