The exhibition, which opened on April 21, will run until May 21. It features painting, sculpture and printmaking, focusing on themes such as memory, identity, culture and social change.
Curated by Nhuja Shrestha and supported by gallery director Sagar KC, the exhibition aims to provide a common platform for artists from diverse backgrounds to engage through visual expression. According to the curator, the exhibition centres on nature as a “living force,” alongside cultural memory and identity.
Participating artists include Aman Tuladhar, Deepa Khanal, Dikshya Chamling Rai, Lachhen Nyarten Tamang, Min Thapa, Pujan Khatiwada, Dipendra Thapa, Rupak Rai, Seetu Maskey, Sharmila Devi Tamang, Sujan Bir Bajracharya and Yambang Thapa Magar.
The artworks reflect a range of personal and social themes. Aman Tuladhar’s work explores the human mind, while Deepa Khanal presents printmaking based on memories of her hometown. Min Thapa’s work focuses on rural abandonment and migration, and Rupak Rai examines the impact of modernisation on cultural heritage. Sculptural works by Pujan Khatiwada and Dipendra Thapa address political and psychological themes.
