UML holds closed-door session at Bhrikutimandap with exhibits, TikTok Park arrangements

Kathmandu, December 14

At Bhrikutimandap, where the CPN-UML is holding its closed-door session, arrangements have been made ranging from exhibits on the history of the Communist Party of Nepal to a designated park for making TikTok videos.

According to Binod Shrestha, a member of the organising committee, facilities have been arranged for delegates’ refreshments as well as displays providing information on the CPN-UML’s political journey.

The main entrance connected to Exhibition Road has been attractively decorated. The golden-colored main gate has been named the “Golden Gate.”

Through the Golden Gate, delegates will directly enter a garden area, where informative materials tracing the political journey of the UML from the establishment of the Communist Party of Nepal to the present have been displayed.

Moving further inside, materials and information showcasing the status and activities of the CPN-UML’s mass organisations have also been arranged.

A separate area has been designated for taking photographs and creating TikTok videos and similar activities. This area has been named the “TikTok Park,” Shrestha said.

For the UML’s closed-door session, a tented hall has been set up in the open ground of Bhrikutimandap, while food and beverage arrangements have been made in the exhibition hall.

Shrestha, who is responsible for managing the stage for the inaugural ceremony and the closed-door session hall, said arrangements have been made to accommodate 2,262 delegates in the hall.

After formally inaugurating its general convention at Sallahghari in Bhaktapur on Saturday, the CPN-UML is set to begin its closed-door session today to select the party’s leadership.
