Bara Chief District Officer Dharmendra Kumar Mishra has called the protesting Gen Z Youth for dialogue.
CDO Mishra telephoned Gen Z leader Samrat Upadhyaya, urging him to sit for talks, saying that the problem must be resolved through dialogue.
“Bara’s CDO called, saying the issue should be settled through dialogue. He asked us to come to the District Administration Office. We said we are not in a position to go there and requested that they come here instead,” leader Upadhyaya said.
Upadhyaya added that many Gen Z members were injured in police baton charges, and if they go to the CDO’s office, the crowd may follow them there, creating further risk.
The protesters have insisted that the talks must take place at the Simara Area Police Office.
