Kathmandu, October 27
Relatives of a woman who died after childbirth vandalised KIST Hospital in Imadol, Lalitpur, on Sunday.
They accused the doctors of negligence leading to her death and resorted to breaking hospital property in protest.
The demonstrators broke through the hospital gate and pelted stones inside the premises.
As the protest turned violent, police resorted to baton charges and fired several rounds of tear gas to disperse the crowd.
The deceased, 34-year-old Minashree Rai of Halesi Tuwachung Municipality-9 in Khotang, had died on Friday night while undergoing delivery.
