Police have recovered handcuffs and a police baton during a sweep operation at a hostel in Kathmandu.
On Sunday afternoon, police conducted a sweep operation at Rohke Sampada Boys Hostel’s Block B in Sifalnagar, Ward No. 32 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, and Block A located on Prayagmarg.
According to AIG Dan Bahadur Karki of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari, handcuffs and other items were recovered from Block A.
The police seized two pairs of handcuffs, an Armed Police Force body protector, a hard disk, and a police baton. Following the discovery of police equipment, hostel warden Govinda Kumar Thakur, 24, has been taken into custody for investigation.
