Kulman Ghising calls for interim government with Gen-Z inclusion

Kathmandu, September 9

Kulman Ghising has called for the formation of an interim government comprising individuals with clean reputations and the inclusion of the Generation-Z youth, along with the announcement of immediate general elections.

Expressing his views through social media, Ghising stressed the need for a new government that incorporates Gen-Z representatives. He said the deaths of 19 protesters during the ongoing demonstrations cannot be taken lightly and urged the current political leadership to accept moral responsibility and step down.

Calling Gen-Z the future of the country, Ghising outlined his points: “Address the concerns of this generation and create conditions to fulfill their aspirations. The political leadership must resign, accepting moral responsibility. Form an interim government of individuals with a clean image, including Gen-Z representation, and immediately announce general elections.”

He also suggested amending the constitution to create opportunities that would help foster leadership within the Gen-Z generation.

Furthermore, Ghising proposed establishing an independent high-level commission to investigate corruption at all levels and ensure that those found guilty face the maximum penalty through fast-track proceedings.
