Kathmandu, August 22
According to Nepal’s EPS Korea Branch 103,000 applications were filed against a demand for 5,300 workers.
For the year 2025, Korea has sent a quota for 5,300 workers in the manufacturing and agriculture–livestock sectors.
Within the application period from August 10 to 15, a total of 103,000 people submitted online applications for the language test.
According to the EPS Korea Branch, the initial screening of applications is currently underway. The language test will be conducted in up to five shifts in a single day. Only those who pass the exam will be eligible to compete in the final employment selection.
Every year, Korea’s EPS test attracts huge participation in Nepal.
The main reasons are Korea’s relatively high wages, a regulated labor market, and a worker-friendly environment.
It is observed that an excessive number of applications are submitted for the limited quota, which shows the strong attraction of Nepalis toward the Korean labor market.
