Nepal begins collecting names of citizens wishing to return from Israel

Kathmandu, June 18

The Government of Nepal has initiated the collection of names of Nepali nationals who wish to return from Israel amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran.

The Nepali Embassy in Tel Aviv has released an online form, urging Nepali citizens currently residing in Israel to fill in their personal details. The list is being compiled in preparation for a possible evacuation, should the conflict intensify further.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, approximately 550 Nepalis are currently in Israel, and around 12 in Iran. So far, there have been no reports of harm or distress involving Nepali citizens in either country.

Nepali Ambassador to Israel, Dhan Prasad Pandit, said that necessary rescue operations will be carried out based on the needs of those affected by the conflict.
