Janakpur: Four arrested for ‘black marketing’ of masks, sanitisers

While the whole nation is involved in controlling the spread of the pandemic COVID-19, four people have been arrested in Janakpurdham, the capital of Province 2, for allegedly selling masks and sanitisers in the black market.

They have been arrested by a joint team of Dhanusha District Administration and District Police Office during the market monitoring.

The arrestees are Sanjay Sah, a resident of Barahathwa municipality-8 of Sarlahi, also the operator of Susmita Medical Shop located in Janakpurdham-4 and the person with the same name, who operates another pharmacy, Sampurna Medical nearby. They overcharged customers for the masks, according to police.

Likewise, Anil Yadav of Laxminiya rural municipality-3 and Prabhansa Chaudary, a resident of Jaleshwor municipality-6, Mahottari have been arrested from Atal Pharmacy, located at Brahmarpur Chok, Janakpur for allegedly selling sanitisers in the black market.
