Kathmandu, November 3
At least nine people have died and dozens others injured in bus plunge in Sindhupalchowk on Sunday afternoon.
The bus, heading to Kathmandu from Dolakha, fell into the Sun Koshi in Sukute, Balefi Rural Municipality, police said. At least 47 people are reported injured. While four died on the spot, one passenger breathed his last while being rushed to a local hospital, Sindhupalchowk District DSP Madhav Prasad Kafle said.
Kafle informed that 20 people have been rescued from the site of the incident and rushed to Banepa Hospital. Authorities say as they don’t know how many passengers were on the bus, the death toll could rise further.
