CPN (Mashal) leader Singh says Xi line of thought smells of right-wing revisionism

Kathmandu, October 21

Nepal Communist Party (Mashal) General Secretary Mohan Bikram Singh says the much-talked-about Xi Jinping line of thought smells of right-wing revisionism. However, his party gives importance to its ties with China.

Singh, in a statement issued a week after Xi’s visit to Kathmandu, said that the political system adopted by China in the name of socialism is actually capitalism and it is now taking the form of colonialism.

Singh said that although his party supports the joint communique issued by the two governments after Xi’s visit, NCP (Mashal) is of the view that the socialism with Chinese specialty that Xi talked about is wrong.

Meanwhile, Singh stated that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is serving the American interest when it comes to the Millennium Challenge Corporation deal. The deal is part of the US strategy to increase its influence in South and South-east Asia, he said. Singh also thanked former Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara for stalling the MCC deal’s ratification.

He called on all political parties to protest if the government presents the deal for ratification in Parliament in its next session.
