Kathmandu, August 18
A policeman at the Swyambhu station in Kathmandu was been found dead at his apartment in Thulo Bharayang on Saturday night, officials said.
Shankar Thagunna (20) had been living with his girlfriend, said police, who have detained the woman in suspicion of foul play. According to DSP Lal Dhwaj Subedi, the woman and is being quizzed.
The woman called the police after she found Thagunna hanging from the ceiling. However, by the police time the team reached the place, his body was on the ground. “She told us both were arguing when Thagunna wrapped a rope around his neck. She said she asked him not to joke. But Thagunna punched her and she fell unconscious,” an officer told Onlinekhabar.
By the time she regained consciousness, she saw Thagunna hanging. Both were in a relationship for the past 18 months. The woman is a widow.
