Sagarmatha Engineering College and its sister concern, Sagarmatha College of Science And Technology, in collaboration with Zobfindr organised an internship and placement fair in Sanepa of Laliltpur on Saturday, November 17.
Around 700 fresh graduates of BE Civil, BE Computer, BE Electronics and Communication, and BSc CSIT from various colleges across the country visited the fair and got opportunities to face on-the-spot interview for the internship and job, according to the organisers.
Leading 16 Nepali companies working in the field of information technology and engineering such Javra Software, Leapfrog, Vianet, Karkhana, Fuse Machine, Wikimedians Nepal, among others had interviewed the graduates.
Dakshina Shrestha, Associate Professor and Head of Training and Placement Unit, said, “The event was organised with an objective of helping students liaise with the industry and job market to make a smooth transition from college to corporate life.”
“Overall, it was a win-win situation for both the companies and graduates. The feedback we received was excellent. We have been requested to organise such events every year.”
