Kathmandu, December 26
Lalitpur Patriots defeated Pokhara Rhinos by six wickets in the last group-stage match of Everest Premier League at the TU cricket ground in Kirtipur of Kathmandu today.
With the result, both the team are required to face each-other in an eliminator match again to decide which team will continue playing. The match will be held tomorrow.
Patriots achieved the 133-run target of Rhinos at the loss of four wickets. The victor team’s openers Jaykishan Kolsawala and Shankar Rana made a splendid opening with a 84-run partnership. Kolsawala and Rana made 56 and 35 runs respectively. Captain Gyanendra Malla also made 27 runs not-out.
In the first innings, Rhinos made 132 runs at the loss of five wickets. Opener Sunil Dhamala made 70 runs for the team.
