Kathmandu, March 28
A groups of students Kathmandu’s RR Campus have clashed with police demanding that today’s union elections at tthe college be called off.
Voting, however, continues.
The protestors shouted slogans and pelted stones at riot police while they responded by baton charging the demonstrators.
The elections, which were scheduled for last month had been postponed following an order from the Election Commission. However, a Supreme Court verdict made it mandatory for the college to hold elections at the earliest.
