Kathmandu, December 9
A bus carrying more than 40 people has fallen off a hilly road in Udaypur, on Friday morning.
The bus (Ba 4 Kha 3620) met with the accident at Lekhani of Udaypur district.
The passengers on the bus were returning from a pilgrimage to Khotang’s Haleshi Mahadev Temple. Two passengers died at the accident spot while the other was declared dead while being rushed to a hospital.
Of the deceased, one was identified as Dipesh Ram (13) from Saptari district, according to the local police.
At least 25 others were injured. Passengers sustaining minor injuries are currently being treated at Katari hospital.
Two with serious injuries have been referred to Dharan’s Ghopa hospital.
