6 bodies recovered in Dhading as Rasuwa flood rescue continues

Kathmandu, August 26

Six bodies have been recovered in Dhading following the massive flood that entered Nepal through Rasuwa and moved downstream along the Trishuli River.

According to the District Police Office, Dhading, the bodies were recovered from different locations along the river by 3pm on Wednesday.

One woman’s body was found at Mahesh Dobhan in Galchhi Rural Municipality, while the bodies of two men were recovered near the Kolpu Khola bridge, also in Galchhi.

Another body was found along the Trishuli River in Siddhalek Rural Municipality-7.

Two women’s bodies were recovered from the Trishuli riverbank near Benighat Bazaar in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality.

Dhading Police also said seven people have so far been rescued from the flood-affected areas.

The injured people have been taken to local hospitals for treatment.
