The first meeting of the Cabinet of Province 4 has decided to launch a campaign to provide electricity to every household in the state.
Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung, who convened the meeting, has announced that all households in the province will have access to electricity within the next tow years.
Gurung, who appointed Ram Sharan Basnet as his minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment, also made some other announcements. A state-of-the-art convention centre and a recreation ground will be built in the next five years, he said adding that cancer, heart and kidney ailment treatment centres will also be established in the province in the near future.
Gurung said that a network of roads will be built to connect every part of the state to its capital. Similarly, the government will focus on implementing e-governance.
