Chitwan, October 15
Three workers were killed and two others injured when a wall collapsed at Kisan Feed Industry in Ratnanagar Municipality-12, Shantikunj Tole on Tuesday morning.
According to police, the victims were workers inside the factory when the partition wall gave way. They were rushed to Chitwan Medical College, where all three were pronounced dead during treatment.
The deceased have been identified as 45-year-old Shukram Darai of Khairahani-2, 54-year-old Resham Darai originally from Gorkha but residing in Ratnanagar-12, and 45-year-old Kamal Gurung of Ratnanagar-12.
The injured 39-year-old Jitendra Mahato and 40-year-old Ankaj Prasad Tharu, both originally from Parsa but residing in Ratnanagar-12 are undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College.
According to DSP Subas Bhatt of the Area Police Office, Ratnanagar, the accident occurred when a 10-inch-thick brick partition wall inside the feed factory suddenly collapsed. Police are conducting further investigation into the incident.
