20 days of teachers’protest captured by drone

Kathmandu, April 21

Teachers protesting to demand the implementation of the School Education Act continued their demonstrations for the 20th consecutive day today.

Like previous days, the teachers gathered and protested on the Maitighar–Baneshwor road section in Kathmandu on Monday morning.

Due to their protest, traffic management was affected once again today. As vehicles were diverted from the main roads, traffic jams also occurred on the inner roads, causing difficulties for both drivers and passengers.

The answer sheets of the SEE (Secondary Education Examination) have not been evaluated yet, and uncertainty looms over the Grade 12 exams scheduled to begin on April 25.

Teachers have stated they will not return to school until the Education Act is passed, citing the government’s history of making promises but not fulfilling them.
