Banke, November 18
Twelve persons were injured when a passenger bus met with an accident at Rapti Sonari rural municipality-1 in Banke district on Monday morning.
Among the injured ones, Asha Basnet of Dang, Janaki Pun of Kohalpur municipality and assistant driver Bhim Bahadur Basnet of Rapti Sonari rural municipality were brought to Teaching Hospital in Kohalpur of the district for further treatment, according to the District Traffic Police Office.
Police Inspector Pabindra Bom shared that the incident took place when the Nepalgunj-bound bus (Na 5 Kha 6449) coming from Tulsipur in Dang fell some 80 metres off the East-West Highway.
Bom said overspeeding could be the cause of the accident.
