Samsung has launched the mid-range option from the M series, the Samsung Galaxy M35 5G in Nepal. The M35 is the successor of last year’s Samsung Galaxy M34, launched globally in July. The M35 continues the M series in Nepal alongside the Samsung Galaxy M15 5G and Samsung Galaxy M55 5G. The older generation of the M series is also available in Nepal which is quite popular for its battery capacity and performance.

The Samsung Galaxy M35 5G has major differences from its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy M34 5G including dimensions, weight, display size and features, chipset, camera features, connectivity features and price. With the mid-range market gaining popularity, new options from different brands are getting creative.

Design and Display

The design of the Samsung Galaxy M35 5G is similar to its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy M34 5G. The M35 carries the universal Samsung design with the three-camera design and the M series design touch. It has a curved glass back which is slightly curved with the plastic frame. The glass back has a checkered pattern design for a more simplistic look. The plastic frame has a shiny brushed aluminium finish.

Coming to the front, the major difference between the M35 5G and the M34 5G is the hole-punch cutout instead of a water drop notch for the selfie camera. The bezels on the other hand are quite on the thicker side. The display has a 6.6-inch screen that uses Super AMOLED technology offering vibrant and bright colors. The resolution is 1080 x 2340 pixels with a pixel density of 390 ppi. It supports up to 16 million colours and refreshes at a rate of 120Hz, making animations and scrolling smooth. Additionally, it can reach a brightness of 1000 nits for a clear viewing experience even in bright daylight.

Performance and Storage

The Samsung Galaxy M35 5G is powered by the in-house Exynos 1380 chipset, built on a 5 nm process. It has an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.4 GHz for high performance and four Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0 GHz for efficiency. The graphics processing is handled by the Mali-G68 MP5. It runs on One UI 6.1 based on Android 14, offering up to 4 years of OS updates and up to 5 years of security updates.

As for memory, the Samsung Galaxy M35 5G comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage in Nepal.

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy M35 5G features a triple rear camera setup with a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide camera and a 2 MP macro camera with apertures of F1.8 for the main camera, F2.2 for the ultrawide and F2.4 for the macro. The main rear camera has support for both autofocus and image stabilization and digital zoom up to 10x. For video, the rear cameras can record in UHD 4K at 30fps and 1080p at both 30fps and 60fps and slow-motion recording at 480fps and 240fps, both in HD.

The front camera has a 13 MP resolution with an F2.2 aperture. It is capable of recording videos in 4K at 30fps and 1080p at 30fps.

The Samsung Galaxy M35 5G comes with a powerful 6000 mAh battery, ensuring long-lasting usage. It supports 25W wired charging, allowing for quick recharges. For connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax and Bluetooth 5.3, supporting fast and stable connections. The phone is compatible with LTE and 5G networks, providing high-speed internet access.

It features a hybrid SIM slot, which can hold either two SIM cards or one SIM card and a Micro SD card for expandable storage. The audio experience is enhanced with stereo speakers. The phone is equipped with various sensors, including an accelerometer, fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, light sensor, and virtual proximity sensor, making it a versatile and user-friendly device.
