Rana, Lohani to announce new party on Friday

Kathmandu, January 31

Nepal’s pro-royalist leaders Prakash Chandra Lohani and Pashupati Shamsher Rana have decided to form a new party, RPP (Samyukta).

The two leaders who were until now leading the RPP (Democratic) and RPP (Nationalist) parties have decided to combine forces, sources say. The two leaders have signed an agreement to form the new party.

The new party will advocated for democractic system with a monarchy and Hindu state, RPP (Nationalist) spokesperson Rajendra Gurung told Onlinekhabar.

The two leaders have also agreed to make a ‘plough’ their election symbol. A formal announcement of the decision will take place in Kathmandu on Friday.
