Nepal recognised as new investment destination across the world: NRN leader

NRN leader Kumar Pant

Kathmandu, April 4

Kumar Pant, Vice-President of the Nonresident Nepalis Association, a global body of nonresident Nepalis, has claimed that Nepal has been recognised as a new investment destination across the world.

A few days after the government concluded its ambitious investment summit, Pant says the government’s recent efforts to improve the investment environment have been successful.

In a video interview with Onlinekhabar, Pant says, “There is a stable and strong government. The investors are impressed that peace and stability have been established in Nepal. We have talked with investors from many countries and found that there was a message that Nepal would be a new investment destination.”

Recalling that Ram Sharan Mahat, a former finance minister representing the main opposition Nepali Congress party, said all parties were together on the issues o national development, Pant said the nonresident Nepalis would also support the movement.

He informed that the NRNA was committed to implementing an agreement it signed with the government during the summit.
