Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali says the government will make the ambassador appointment process more inclusive in the days to come.

Minister Gyawali assures that the government is bound to make the process inclusive as it is envisioned in the constitution itself.

Speaking at a meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee on Thursday, the Minister told lawmakers that the government was correcting mistakes made in the past.

On the occasion, the Minister informed that the ambassadors’ positions at five international diplomatic missions of Nepal are vacant currently.

In another context, he said the government was preparing a profile of each country, which Nepal has established diplomatic ties with. Because the profile includes information on Nepal’s expectations from a particular country, it would be used to make Nepal’s position on bilateral negotiations stronger, according to him.
