Enough electricity will be supplied to special economic zones: Kul Man Ghising

NEA Managing Director Kul Man Ghising

Kathmandu, June 17

The Nepal Electricity Authority has announced to provide sufficient electricity to all special economic zones (SEZs).

NEA Executive Director Kul Man Ghising declared to provide the required amount of electricity to the government announced special zones.

Speaking at a programme organised in the Capital on Sunday, Ghising also urged the concerned authorities to stop complaining about the scarcity of electricity in SEZs. “I have already made a written commitment with the Ministry of Industry on providing enough power to the zones six months ago,” reminded Ghising.

He further clarified that electricity could be provided to the Bhairahawa Special Economic Zone immediately. “Required 13.5 megawatt of electricity can be provided to Bhairahawa SEZ without any delay.”

Likewise, necessary substations have already been managed at the SEZs across the country, according to him.
