Media 9, publisher of Business 360 and WOW, successfully organised the WOW Women Achievers Awards 2026 in Kathmandu, recognising outstanding women and institutions that have made remarkable contributions to society through leadership, innovation, courage, creativity and service.
The awards celebrated inspiring personalities from diverse sectors, including arts, sports, social service, entrepreneurship, education, public service and politics. The event brought together distinguished personalities from the government, diplomatic community, corporate sector, civil society, media and development organisations to honour women who continue to create meaningful impact in Nepal and beyond.

The Arts: Abhaya Subba Weise, Musician
Sports: National Blind Women Cricket Team
Social Service / Activism: Dr Radha Paudel, Nurse, Author, Activist and Founder of Global South Coalition for Dignified Menstruation
Entrepreneurship: Hajuri Bista, Founder & Proprietor, Hajuri Khadya Udhyog
Leadership: Basundhara Khadka, Superintendent of Police, Nepal Police
Inspiring Woman of the Year 2026: Rubi Kumari Thakur, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives
Lifetime Achievement Award: Indira Yakthumba, Founder Principal of Gyanodaya Bal Batika School
Speaking at the event, the organisers highlighted the importance of recognising women who are contributing to nation-building through dedication, resilience and leadership. They noted that the awards aim to inspire future generations by bringing forward stories of women who have broken barriers and created positive change in their respective fields.
The WOW Women Achievers Awards has continued to grow as a platform that celebrates excellence and recognises women whose work is contributing to social transformation, economic development and inclusive progress.
The WOW Women Achievers Awards 2026 was organised with the support of leading organisations from across industries. Agni Incorporated Pvt. Ltd. joined the event as the Title Sponsor, while Ncell was the Powered By Partner. inDrive Nepal was the Mobility Partner, NIBL Equity Partners the Equity Partner, and NIMB Ace Capital the Capital Partner.
