Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Kamal Thapa says his party has not thought about joining the government immediately.
Amidst speculations and media reports that the party is eager to join the government as Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is mulling over the Cabinet reshuffle to remove ministers representing the CPN-Maoist Centre, Thapa says they are just rumours.
He says the party’s decision to extend support to the government is free of any expectation, but just to ensure that provincial and federal parliamentary elections are held on time.
“There is not any condition except holding the polls on time,” he says speaking with journalists at the Biratnagar Airport today, “We have not thought about joining the government so far as remoured in the public.”
