Kathmandu, May 6
Heavy rainfall in Kathmandu on Tuesday afternoon caused waterlogging and disruption along the Bishnumati Corridor, creating difficulties for commuters.
Shortly before the flooding, rain had fallen across various parts of the Kathmandu Valley. As a result, water levels rose in several rivers, including the Bagmati and Bishnumati.
The section of the Bishnumati Corridor near the riverbank from Sorhakhutte to Kalimati became muddy and difficult to navigate for a brief period. The slippery conditions affected the flow of vehicular traffic.
In Ward 19 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, at a location known as Tankeshwari, stagnant water left vehicles stranded and created challenges for travelers.
