Chief Judge of the High Court in Birgunj Gokarna Dangi and five others were injured after a Scorpio crashed in Jurikhet of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-6, Makwanpur, on Tuesday morning.
Police said one of the injured women is in critical condition.
The Scorpio, bearing registration number Province 3-01-002 Jha 5183, was travelling from Kathmandu towards Birgunj when it went out of control at around 7 am and fell around 50 to 60 metres into a ravine, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhav Kafle of the District Police Office, Makwanpur.
Six people, including Chief Justice Dangi, were travelling in the vehicle. The injured include two women and four men.
They were rescued and taken to Bhimphedi Hospital for treatment. Police said the condition of the other five injured is moderate and preparations are underway to transfer them to better-equipped hospitals for further treatment.
A seven-member team, including traffic police, from the Area Police Office, Bhimphedi reached the accident site shortly after receiving information about the crash.
A team led by Makwanpur Police Chief Superintendent Shyam Bahadur Khatri also reached the site.
The damaged Scorpio remains at the accident site, while traffic along the road has resumed, police said.
