Kathmandu, September 21
Two people have been arrested on charges of fraud using counterfeit banknotes.
Those arrested are Dinesh BK, 32, of Bagmati Municipality-6 in Sarlahi, and Krishna Prasad Lamichhane, 45, of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-13 in Chitwan.
A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested them in Balkhu.
Police said the duo lured a person by asking him to bring Rs 1 million and promising to give him Rs 3 million in return, then defrauded him. Police said they handed over counterfeit notes as the promised Rs 3 million.
