Tribhuvan Army Club won their first Aaha Rara Gold Cup title.

Tribhuvan Army Club have won the 23rd edition of the Aaha Rara Gold Cup held in Pokhara.

In the final match held at the Pokhara Stadium on Saturday, Tribhuvan Army beat five-time champions Three Star Club 3-0.

Goals from Gillespye Jung Karki, Fatteman Ghale and Basanta Jimba gave Tribhuvan Army an easy win in the final.

The champion Tribhuvan Army Club bagged Rs 1.2 million in cash for finishing first while runners-up Three Star bagged Rs 601,000.

Tribhuvan Army’s Bimal Pandey was named the player of the tournament and received an e-scooter.

Likewise, Samit Shrestha from the Army was judged as the best goalkeeper, Bimal Pandey, also from the Army, won the title of the best defender, and Bibek Poudel from Three Star was recognised as the best midfielder. In addition, Gillespye Jung Karki from the Army was hailed as the best forward player, while Meghraj KC from the same team was awarded the best coach in the tournament. Each of them received a trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 25,000.

Likewise, Army’s Dinesh Hemjan bagged Rs 25,000 in cash for scoring the most goals in the tournament.

Similarly, Jawalakhel Youth Club was named as the fair play team.

Before this, the Tribhuvan Army Club had reached the final four times losing each of them.
