Tipper operations banned in Kavre throughout Dashain

Kavre, October 14

Tipper operations have been prohibited across Kavrepalanchok district from October 17 to 26 on the occasion of Dashain, Nepal’s major festival.

Issuing a notice, the District Administration Office said tipper operations would be completely banned within the district from Phulpati to the full moon day.

Mahendra Bishwakarma, assistant chief district officer and information officer, said the decision was made at a meeting of the District Security Committee on October 13, requesting that tipper operations be suspended across the district from October 17 to 26.

He said the decision was taken to minimise the risk of potential accidents and ensure smooth and safe movement of passenger vehicles, as traffic congestion increases on major roads in the district, including the BP Highway and Araniko Highway, during Dashain.

The administration has also urged all concerned parties to ensure that tipper operations remain suspended throughout the specified period.
