Three people are missing after an SUV plummeted into the Sunkoshi river in Golanjor rural municipality-7 in Sindhuli district on Friday.

According to DSP Chiranjibi Dahal of Sindhuli District Police Office, the SUV (Ba 1 Jha 7467) carrying an employee of the Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) fell into the river. The SUV was on its way to Khotang from Kathmandu.

Police said four people were travelling in the SUV. The SUV’s driver, Krishna Chaudhary of Dang, managed to get out of the Sunkoshi river, but the remaining three people are missing, said Dahal.

Those missing are under secretary Krishna Bahadur KC, director of policy formulation and planning at CTEVT, Yam Prasad Bhurtel and electronics trainer Bhanu Paudel.
