Nepali women’s footballer Sima Rani Ghale has joined ŽNK Split, a top-division women’s league club in Croatia.
Sima will now compete in Croatia’s A Division Magenta League. Her contract was announced by Sankata Club, her domestic team, via social media.
Sima began her football journey at FC Buddha and went on to deliver standout performances for Sankata FC in Nepal. Her rise from domestic football to Europe’s top division is seen as a significant achievement for Nepali women’s football.
With this move, Sima becomes the first Nepali footballer to play in Croatia’s top women’s league.
